We carry out a wide range of maintenance services in the church and in the churchyard on behalf of, and occasionally, in partnership with the Church Wardens. Upton Council voluntarily spends over £560 every year on services such as grass & tree cutting, footway maintenance, waste management and more in the churchyard alone. We also make a number of services available both inside and outside the church, such as gutter cleansing & indoor cleaning as well as window cleaning and outdoor lighting management, we also offer indoor cleaning services and other maintenance services to help keep the church moving, especially during the difficult times caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Due to the uncertainty as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic, we reserve the right to quote additional charges to the church wardens for our maintenance services, should we feel we don't have sufficient funding or if we decide to end our subsidised maintenance service program and introduce new charges.
We've got a huge number of jobs to complete every month, so to help make sure our work gets done, we have a group of Community Volunteers ready and waiting to help out with our work, we've got festive decorators who help decorate the church for festive occasions, a vast range of maintenance equipment and a fleet of Farm Vehicles including high-tech implements to help us get bigger jobs done quicker and help us reach high up places.
Since 2020, we've been completing small improvement projects through-out the churchyard
