As we didn't receive the quotations needed, in order to progress with our Designated Funds Application with National Highways, we'll now need to wait for the next round of funding which will become available towards the end of 2024. We are obviously very disappointed by this news, given the incredibly hard work everyone at The OneUptonNetwork has put in to the application so far. We remain committed to delivering the Church Restoration Scheme in its entirety by the end of 2027
Our Church is in a severely poor condition. The previous QI Report has highlighted a wide range of issues with the building, ranging from minor stone and wood work issues, to major roofing problems. In total, the repairs needed to bring the church back into a structurally sound condition, amount to over £400,000, of which £80,000 is desperately needed to bring the church out of immediate danger.
The OneUptonNetwork's application to National Highways' Designated Funds Scheme has been delayed as a result of the team not receiving the quotations needed back quickly enough in order for them to proceed with the application. As a result, the funding has all been allocated and we will have to wait for the next round, towards the end of 2024.
